THE PROCESS OF CREATION
Things we can do to get started:
- Develop a list of areas and
activities you want included in your new house.
- From the list of areas and needs I
will develop a preliminary project cost estimate.
- Collect the codes and
property restrictions.
- Develop a project
schedule so that you can plan your move in day.
- Site analyses of the property with suggested location of
house and other requirements.
Getting
started
Contact me and provide your needs and information and
I will do a site analyses, project schedule and cost estimate for your project.
This is valuable information you can use to plan for your new home. How big,
How much it will cost, How long it will take. There is no fee obligation
for this feasibility study and any payment for this service is strictly your choice as to
amount. You will get the benefit of my experience and several days of
my time and attention to your project.
Design concept
If you would like me to design a concept, send me a
retainer of $1 per square foot or 1/2% of your budget. I will proceed with the
balance of part one and part two so you can see your design. After
presentation of the design for your new house you are under no obligation to continue on
to part three. My fees are based on your satisfaction and I require no signed
contracts. My clients are very satisfied and have paid me
accordingly. This is about making a wonderful design in which to live your
life.
My design concept include floor plan, site plan, exterior
elevations, building section and perspective rendering. They also include a
revised cost estimate.
I look forward to working with you to make your
dream house come true.

Process of Creation and Construction.

PART FOUR

PART SIX

CONSTRUCTION
So as you can see it takes about
27 months to get through the complete process from first meeting until move in day.
I would prefer to take longer in part one, two and three. More time
during these parts adds to understanding your needs. A year would be about
right. An Organic design springs directly from understanding the real needs and
conditions of you the client and your site. So the better we understand what these
are the more they will influence the design that is based on this understanding. Many of my clients have been thinking about their dream house
much of their lives. As the architect I need time to understand their dreams and
help them to refine it to meet their changing life requirements. Many of my clients
are building what will be their last house. Their lives will be much different
living in this house than in any they have lived in before. These are all things
that have a great influence on the design.
If you are considering the design
and construction of a new house. Give yourself and your architect time to
understanding your needs.
SCHEDULE FOR THE CREATION AND CONSTRUCTION OF
YOUR HOUSE
The following schedule is for an average residential house
of say 2500 square feet. It shows the six parts or phases of
the process for the creation and construction of an original design. This is
about the minimum amount of time for the process. The following will show the
process in a more out line and graphic way.
